About

Hello! My name is Will Baker. I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. I received my B.S. in Psychology with a minor is Child and Family Sciences Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University. After undergrad, I had an internship with Bill Thompson, PhD. After working with Dr. Thompson for about a year, I decided that I wanted to pursue a graduate degree…and also that I wanted to live overseas. Therefore, I moved to Edinburgh, Scotland to pursue a Master’s degree in Psychological Research. I graduated with Merit, and moved back to Atlanta. After job searching, and the initial COVID-19 outbreaks in the United States, I received an offer for an ORISE Fellowship at the CDC, in the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. I have been in my fellowship for almost three years, and I continue to enjoy it, although ORISE Fellowships have a maximum time frame of five years, so I am working to brush up my skills and begin looking into the next phase of my career. Hence, this website. With this site, I hope to build a portfolio of statistical projects, based in R. I wish to use this an opportunity to learn, and to show the degree of expertise that I have. With that, thank you very much for your time and I hope you enjoy whatever projects I am able to release on this platform!
